About Me

Now retired, I spent over 35 years as a professional garden designer with a passion for creating beautiful landscapes that are lifestyle friendly and Colorado "green".  A graduate of Colorado State University’s landscape horticulture/design program, I thoroughly enjoyed helping clients in the Denver area enhance their outdoor environments and gardening experience.

I also lectured and taught a variety of design related classes at Denver Botanic Gardens, ProGreen Expo, garden clubs, and garden centers throughout the region.

My work has been featured in numerous regional publications including:

Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, 5280, and Colorado Green magazines, and nationally in Horticulture, Fine Gardening, and Sunset.

As a gardener, I am always experimenting with new plants and planting designs that will adapt to my high, dry location (USDA zone 5b), sandy-loam soil, and laissez faire attitude towards maintenance. I also enjoy photography, biking, hiking, and playing with fibers and paints.
