I recently spent the weekend in Taos, New Mexico, visiting with family and enjoying the beautiful sites and sounds of one of my favorite places.

Here are some of my favorite places and a look at the larger landscape of the region, and more garden views and links,

Hope you enjoy the tour, and have a great weekend!

Cool...I've stayed at Casa Benavides 2x...magical. Like a whole other world from when I lived there Abq...chilly, fresh mornings, yet with sort-of familiar architecture. The blue gates and skies, and their flowers along Kit Carson St (?) are something. Great capture of the metalwork and stucco, too.
But there's something about how they do pueblo-style architecture in northern NM, more interesting than Abq and south. Each place different...Santa Fe different than Taos, etc.
David, I can always count on you to appreciate the beauty that is New Mexico! Thanks for your comment.
There's something wrong about autumn without a trip to New Mexico: your post is spurring me to check my calendar! I miss the ristras and the electric "schoolbus orange" cottonwoods and warm days and chill nights...
Gotta go...thanks, Jocelyn for a virtual trip!
You are welcome PK! I'll admit that I *must* get my NM fix every autumn --- it's a wonderful and soul-nourishing escape.
