ProGreen EXPO 2011

Last week I attended ProGreen EXPO, a conference/trade show for landscape professionals working in Denver and the Rocky Mountain region. This year's show featured 650 booths and 141 seminars! Impossible to see everything, but I always learn something new and get inspired for the season to come.

These photos are from the Proven Winners booth. I loved the geometric arrangement of the succulents to create distinct color blocks (almost quilt like). The planting design was perfectly matched to the sleek, black containers.

Hmmmm....I think I see a succulent quilt garden in my future!

Thank you, Proven Winners!

I saw several similar succulent scenes at MANTS. I am not sure this is a customer driven trend or a vendor driven trend. Either way, I love them.

Succulents in the garden have always been popular in the West, but I think there's been a surge of popularity in the last few years and we're seeing more new introductions. Yay!

I love succulents, and these designs are lovely. I'll have to start thinking about what I'm doing with my succulents.

I just love succulents! using them as my "flowers" at my wedding. Can anyone tell me what that big succulent in the 2nd picture is? the one in the big round container?

Love your idea to use succulents for your wedding decor --- very clever! Not sure of the ID on that particular plant, but it might be some form of Echeveria???
