Jocelyn - thanks for the wonderful photos of planters in Denver... my only comment would be - why could we not have a few that emphasized native plants for the many visitors and office workers - the coleus, marigolds, pansies and sweet potato vines are colorful and eye appealing - i just think a few planters of natives would be nice.... just my humble opinion!

I agree with you Mark. In fact, I'd love to see some small "pocket parks" downtown that featured native plants. I think the survival rate of natives planted in the ground would be much higher than in planters---unless the planters were very large built-ins, not the typical pots. Commons Park (in the Riverfront area) is my favorite place for viewing native plants downtown.
