Yin & Yang

The good news is: I'm eagerly anticipating the first ever (as in 20 years ever) bumper crop of apricots on my favorite tree.
The bad news is: we've already got a bumper crop of squirrels.

This could get ugly.

What are your worst garden pests? How do you manage them?

OMG! I can't believe it! Well, I believe about the squirrels, but actual APRICOTS! Sweet!

We have a 'mystery' tree that for the first time in 10 years, is producing mystery fruit. Looks like apricots or peaches. Ten years ago, our dog chewed the bark off of it, and, we thought, killed the tree. For some reason my husband trimmed off the dead looking top and planted the STUMP, and it has grown and leafed out every year since. But this year, it is producing fruit - very fun.

That's a great story, Mamoon! Be sure to let us know when you identify that mystery fruit!
