That's a good question! I've never grown one before, so I'm not sure how long it takes, nor what size this particular (unknown) variety is at maturity. I think I'll leave it go as long as possible, although my understanding is that artichoke buds can be eaten when very young.Sorry about your trip to Denver. Yes, we just had our hottest weekend of the summer!! I hope you got to do some "cool" things during your visit, anyway...
