ReplyDeleteHow nice your crocuses are - seeing all the daffodils in bloom yesterday throughout Abq, and every early tree ready to pop or flowering, is welcome. This post shows how such plants deserve wider, more effective use in the overall landscape.

The early flowering iris is also one I keep forgetting about the availability and use of in my designs.

David, I don't recommend silver maples (too many problems) but they are a big part of the urban canopy here and always shout "Spring!" first.
