Nice! All such tough plants - all thrive here too, esp. that Epehdra, as it needs no irrigation! I am imagining an entire bank or mass of the Zauschneria along that ledge, to really pop the Ephedra.
Shucks, Jocelyn! I thought you had a special form there...I know there is a place for the Ephedra, but I am finding it invasive on my sandy soil. On really dry clay it may not spread so much, but I am beginning to warn people about it. I did not recommend it to Plant Select, but I did first grow it for Denver Botanic Gardens, so I feel some responsibility for it...
Thanks for the warning re: the potentially invasive nature of this plant! I have a young one in my garden (also sandy), so I will keep a keen eye on it and keep you posted.
